These terms are an agreement between you and Ryan Penley (“I”, “me”), operating RyanPenley.org, My Rock Bottom Recovery, and The Next Fix podcast. By using this site, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

This site shares personal experience with sobriety and recovery. It is not medical advice, addiction treatment, therapy, or a substitute for care from qualified professionals. Decisions about your recovery should be made with the help of professionals who know your situation.

Content ownership and licensing
All content on this site — text, images, branding, the My Rock Bottom Recovery and The Next Fix names and logos, podcast episodes, and excerpts from Man Up. Sober Up. — is owned by Ryan Penley or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and trademark law.
You are welcome to view and share links to this content for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, republish, sell, or create derivative works from it without written permission. To request permission, email step@myrockbottomrecovery.com.
Guest applications and recordings
- Information you submit in a guest application must be truthful and your own.
- Applying is not a booking. Guests are selected at my discretion, and submitting an application does not guarantee an episode.
- Episodes are recorded video conversations. By appearing as a guest, you grant me the right to record, edit, publish, and promote the conversation across podcast platforms, YouTube, and social media, as described when you apply.
- You keep ownership of your own story. The license you grant covers the recorded conversation and material you provide for the episode.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site: no attempts to break, overload, or probe it; no submitting spam, malicious content, or someone else’s personal information; no scraping content for republication or model training without permission.
Third-party services
The site links to services such as Amazon, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, Systeme.io, and social platforms. I do not control those services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ryan Penley is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. The date at the top reflects the latest version, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Ryan Penley resides, without regard to conflict of law rules.
